The Swiss gallerists Daniel Wahrenberger, Claudius Ochsner and Thomas Schafflützel joined forces and founded the Gallery WOS in 2019. Together they have more than 50 years of professional experience in the international art business.
Daniel Wahrenberger founded the Galerie Wahrenberger in Zurich in 1994. He showed works of contemporary painting in his gallery. Claudius Ochsner and Thomas Schafflützel ran the gallery & art dealership Barr & Ochsner GmbH, established in 1997 in Zurich and New York. They specialized in works of classical modern and contemporary art.
The focus of the Gallery WOS is the connection of the 20th with the 21st century. To show paintings, works on paper, sculptures and photographs, not as individual objects, but as the result of an art historical development from the European 20th century to American Post-War and Contemporary Art.
- The gallery with its sculpture garden is located at Kirchgasse 28 in the heart of Zurich's old town and is open from Wednesday to Saturday.
